Fuwa launches 1,250 tonne crawler crane

Last month Chinese manufacturer Fuwa Heavy Industry Co launched the new, 1,250 tonne Fuwa QUY1250. The crawler crane performed the 125 percent overload test (1,560 tonnes) in front of potential customers, Fuwa distributors and many officials of China Liaoning Province. The crane and be seen at the Bauma Shanghai show later in the year.

The new Fuwa QUY1250

The QUY1250 - powered by a 641kW Cummins engine driving the Rexroth hydraulic system - is rated at 1250 tonnes at 8 metre radius with the main boom in super lift configuration. Maximum boom configuration is 96 metre main and 108 metre luffing jib.

The 1,250 tonne capacity QUY1250 will be joined by a smaller (8-900 tonne?) crane later in the year.

Fuwa Heavy Industry is planning another new model to slot between the QUY1250 and the QUY 500. Smallest in the range is the QUY350.

Established in 1904 Fuwa is the oldest crane manufacturer in China. With increasing sales both at home and abroad, the company is expanding its manufacturing facilities, currently adding a new factory near Shenyang. Last year Fuwa Jinzhou Heavy Machinery Co. was acquired to build mobile cranes for the domestic market.
