Liebherr delivers 300th LTM1500
Liebherr has delivered the 300th LTM1500-8.1 500 tonne All Terrain crane to Brazilian based crane company Tomé
The LTM1500 -8.1 was launched in 1998 at Bauma with the 200th unit delivered 10 years later in 2008. Just two years later the 300th has shipped.

The 300th Liebherr 500tonne LTM1500-8.1
Tomé was established in 1973 and today employs 4,000 in a range of sectors from basic engineering and technical planning to construction, crane operation and heavy haulage.
The crane business employs around 1,500 with a fleet of 200 mobile and crawler cranes as well as 700 transport units. The crane rental business is a significant part of the group’s activities.
In late 2009 Tomé and Liebherr concluded an order worth more than €40 million including three 600 tonne LR 1600/2-W crawler cranes, a 750 tonne LR 1750, two 1,200 tonne LTM 11200-9.1 telescopic All Terrains and the 500 tonne LTM 1500-8.1 which has now been handed over.
Washington Luiz de Moura, chief financial officer of Holding Tomé and chief operating officer of of Tomé Equipamentos e Transportes – the crane and heavy transport business – cited spare parts supply and reliable after-sales service as key reasons for selecting Liebherr cranes.

The LTM1500 has a choice of a 50 metre or 84 metre telescopic boom, with operators able to use both variations depending on the job at hand.
