It’s a mystery
A boom lift overturned in Qatar the week before last, we have been led to believe that no one was injured in the incident, the big question is what caused it?
We have received a large number of photographs from the scene but so far have not managed to find any conclusive details or information. It may have run into an obstacle, with little or no load on in the platform, although this would not normally cause such a catastrophic result.
The boom lift – which looks to be a 125ft JLG 1250AJ – went over backwards, a steering rod/cylinder on one of the rear wheels appears to have buckled, but this could easily have occurred as or after the unit tipped.
If anyone has further information on this incident we would be very interested to hear from you.
