Videos
Welcome to our video page, here we host a variety of films. Some are news related and attached to a news story improving the coverage we provide, others are simply unusual or interesting videos whose subject matter includes aerial lifts, telehandlers or cranes and finally we also offer customers a hosting service for advertising videos for which we charge a small fee to help fund this service.
If you would like us to host your video please contact us.
Climbing as it should be done

Matilsa Parma 16D
Matilsa is the only company we know that produces a standard fully self propelled boom with the addition of leveling outriggers, allowing it to set up on slopes. This video shows off some of its advantages.

Overloading never works
No matter if it is a crane, a work platform, a telehandler, or in this case a cart, overloading never pays off.

Boom deflection swing out can cause havoc
One of the most basic errors when lifting heavy loads on long booms is the swing out that can occur due to deflection on a loaded boom, causing the load to swing out once it clears the ground. Here is one of the worst cases we have seen.

When a truck mounted aerial lift tipped over in Prague, a crane was called in to right it. The method used is hardly best practice though.

High Power Worker
This is the most amazing method of working on overhead power lines. What it does show is that a very comprehensive risk assessment and job plan plus a well trained individual can make the seemingly very dangerous safe.

Tight entrance?
Look at this clever crane squeaking into or out of a very tight location. Work at height behaviour leaves a little to be desired at times.

Lampson crane collapsing
We came across this shocking eyewitness video of the Lampson crane as it collapsed while lifting a 400 tonne section of a retractable roof at the Milwaukee Brewers' new stadium in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on July 15th1999. Accident Videos
Here are a few examples of accidents that have been posted elsewhere. The point of this section is to demonstrate the catastrophic effects that can occur when short cuts are taken or basic checks forgotten. It is hoped that by drawing attention to them they can be used for training and educational purposes.

Islands in the Sky
This arty film featuring a number of Genie boom lifts rented from United Rentals, was sent in by several readers. It is a ballet with booms but sadly none of the actors are wearing harnesses and it includes a number of bad practices. So a bad video in terms of setting an example. Otherwise nicely done and different, So after a good deal of deliberation we have included it for your interest.
We wonder if United explained to these people that they should wear a harness for their own safety?
