450t Tadano for Foselev

French crane and aerial lift rental company Foselev has taken delivery of a 450 tonne Tadano AC 7.450 1 All Terrain crane.

The seven axle crane is equipped with a seven section 80 metre main boom and can also be equipped with an 81 metre luffing jib and the enhanced SSL Sideways Superlift system. The company says that it will mainly be used for the installation of smaller wind turbines and larger tower cranes, as well as several bridge construction and industrial projects.

As soon as the new crane arrived it went out on a wind turbine maintenance job in the Ardennes demonstrating the benefits of the long boom, although in this case it was equipped with a short jib for a little more height and more importantly some offset.

Michael Mathieu manager of Foselev Ardennes, said: “We are always taking on new challenges, especially when tackling big projects, so we really need the right crane for each work site. Our new AC 7.450 1 puts us in an even better position when it comes to that. Its compact design, excellent lifting capacities, and long boom all played a crucial role in our selection of this crane. On top of that, the extraordinary interplay between mechanical, electrical, and electronic components is something that Tadano really nailed with this crane.”

Mathieu travelled with his workshop technician Loîc Bernier to Zweibrücken to see the new crane. Bernier added: “The AC 7.450 1 is an innovative crane that offers one of a kind solutions such as the Surround View system. This camera system makes travelling safer and also makes it significantly easier to position the crane at challenging sites.”
