Finland’s public prosecutor has decided to press criminal charges against Hiab board member Tapio Kolunsarka, relating to certain financial disclosures during 2019 when he was managing director of Ramirent, just before the company was acquired by French international rental group Loxam. Kolunsarka denies any involvement in criminal activity and Hiab parent company Cargotec has stated that it is not a party to the matter and that the charges do not affect his work as a Cargotec director.

Ramirent/Loxam has also added the follwowing comment:
"It has come to the attention of Ramirent Ltd that the authorities have been investigating a matter related to Ramirent Plc’s former CEO and board members from the first half of year 2019. The present management and board members of Ramirent, its affiliates and its parent company Loxam are not parties to the matter. They will though cooperate fully with the authorities and will make further announcements regarding the matter on Ramirent Ltd’s behalf as and when there are any material developments."
