Another crazy chimney job

Following up on last week’s posting, we received another example of scary ladder and chimney combination.

In this one also occurred in the UK, the two men are, we assume, installing or removing a chimney flue/lining. It looks as though they used a long ladder to get up on the roof, carrying an extra ladder section, and have then managed to manipulate it into a horizontal position between the upper roof ridge and the edge of the chimney.

The number of potential disaster scenarios spring to mind – such as getting off the vertical ladder and then carrying the extra section across - or rather up the roof. Then one of them must have shimmied across the ladder which has precious little overlap onto the chimney - one overly enthusiastic move and it could also come crashing down. And then he has to pull and push as he works on the liner/flue.
Every step along the way would have been high risk. One assumes that they managed to return to ground level in one piece?

A definite one for our Death Wish series.

Have a safe weekend.
