Finnish rental company N Rent Oy has taken delivery of a 232ft Zoomlion ZT72J telescopic self-propelled boom lift, currently the largest unit currently in Europe.

The new boom was purchased at Bauma last week and becomes the company’s largest model, topping a 185ft JLG 1850 SJ. It features a five section boom topped by a 13.1 metre three section telescopic jib with 125 degrees of articulation. It has a maximum working height of 72.3 metres, a maximum outreach of just over 33 metres with the boom and jib horizontal and up to 230kg in the platform. The maximum platform capacity of 454kg is limited to a working height of just over 66 metres but is available at an outreach of 24 metres and a working height of almost 18 metres. It also has a below ground reach of seven metres.
Maximum capacity at full height is 230kg, while 300kg is possible a 68 metre working height.
Overall transport dimensions are 16.5 metres long, 2.5 metres wide with an overall height of 3.16 metres. Total weight is 38,300kg.

Power comes from a Stage V Cummins diesel, while four wheel drive and four wheel steer are standard. Other features include platform work lights, anti-collision system, emergency descent and auto levelling.
