The 195 has same lifting configuration as the 135, but a working height of 19.7 metres, with a maximum outreach of 9.9 metres with 120kg of nine metres with the full 250kg at an up & over height of 7.1 metres. The plan now is to replace a large section of its older spider lifts with the new Leguan models. General Manager Martin Authen said: “We needed to update our range of specialised lifts, and when it came to all terrain tracked lifts, we chose Leguan. They are easy to use, environmentally friendly, and have a consistent user interface. We like the consistency in control layout, functionality, and maintenance procedures which means that both operators and service personnel can rely on familiarity, regardless of the machine’s specific model. This dramatically reduces downtime, streamline operations, and boosts productivity. It also makes it easier to train people, and users are more satisfied with the experience. The lifts are very versatile and handle rough terrain well. You can reach places that other machines simply can’t.”

The first 195 went straight to work with One Elektrotjenesten upgrade a lighted trail in Askim. Joacim Taraldrud Tangnes of One Elektrotjenesten said: “What I like best is the auto-levelling function, which means you don’t have to spend time adjusting the lift before starting work. It also has a home button that makes it easy to return to the stowed position.”

Sørby Utleie was established in as a timber/carpentry company in 2005 by twin brothers Erik and Lars Sørby under the name 4tommer.

In 2007 as they put it “On a fine autumn day we went to the Dyrskuen fair in Seljord. We had saved up a few bucks, which we wanted to invest. When we went to the fair, we had no particular plan of what to invest in, but a little lift that ran on tracks caught our interest. We jumped at the chance and bought it and thought that this could be nice to have in our business for our own use”.

They started renting the machine out when they were not using it, and demand quickly became so great that in their own words “We hardly had time to use it in our own business.” And so bought another spider lift. The rental activity went so well that in 2012 the brothers decided to close down the original business and focus on rental, changing the name to Sørby Utleie the following year when they also opened a second branch in Sarpsborg.

In 2016 they acquired Grøstad Utleie in Vestby and a year later took over Sandmaskin Utleie in Halden creating their fourth location. Last March the two purchased the rental fleet and business assets of Fosby Lift, integrating the equipment and customer base across its four locations – Spydeberg/Tomter, Sarpsborg /Grålum, Vestby and Halden all of which are located south east of Oslo.
