Ainscough adds to transport fleet
UK rental company Ainscough Crane Hire has taken delivery of 10 new Scania trucks for its delivery fleet.
Fully compliant with FORS and CLOCS, the trucks will be used to transport the company’s range of mobile, tower, lattice and heavy cranes throughout the UK. Features include a lane departure warning system as well as electronic braking and stability systems. They have also been fitted with a range of cameras and sensor detectors to help protect vulnerable road users.

No company can invest upwards of £1.75m in a non core support fleet role at a time like this. However, knowing what lead times are like (circa 6 months) and adding any delay at factory during manufacturer caused by C-19, I'd suggest that the order was placed back end of 2019 and probably on a lease, rather than purchased. This would free capital for CRANE investment, haven't Ainscough invested heavily in latest mobile towers recently. Yes, may be corporately owned, but if the owners are allowing senior management to make these decisions it endorses both direction and confidence. Employees should feel secure with their jobs at a time of increasing national redundancy notifications. 2020 the year of survival #onlythestrongwillsurvive

Pity they didn't spend the money on paying wages instead of being at the front of the queue for more Government money or should that read TAX PAYERS MONEY . No redundancies for 6 months. Then a blood bath . I feel it is so morally wrong for a big company with deep pockets are taking money from the needy ie NHS at a time like this . Let's be honest Aincough are owned by venture capitalists. Enough said

Very good investment into the fleet but the UK market leader cannot continue to drive hire rates to an all time low.
High Investment and low revenue don’t mix.
