Sinoboom’s new UK initiative

Sinoboom has announced a distribution partnership with UK based Pinnacle Platforms which has been set up for the purpose by access industry veterans Tim White and Wayne Lawson who will jointly lead the operation.

The new company, which is based in Peterborough, was set up in November and is owned by Lawson and White along with Pinnacle Platform Sales. It will focus on the sale and service of Sinoboom products throughout the UK and will hold substantial replacement parts and component inventory. The move is part of Sinoboom’s strategy to establish a permanent, European operation, managed from its headquarters in Rotterdam, the Netherlands.

Pinnacle managing director Tim White said: “We are delighted to work with Sinoboom and to offer their modern, high quality range of scissors and booms to the UK market.” Fellow director Wayne Lawson added: “We have aerial work platforms immediately available from stock in the UK and are ready to work with companies and contractors across the country, it’s a great pleasure to be back in the powered access business and I’m looking forward to catching up with many friends.”

Sinoboom’s UK & Ireland manager Julie Houston Smyth added: “It is not often that you have the opportunity to partner with such well known industry figures, this is an important day for us and will really drive our activities.”

Sinoboom Europe chief executive Tim Whiteman said: “The industry experience that the owners of Pinnacle Platforms bring to our operations will translate into concrete benefits for our customers across the UK, we are delighted that they have chosen to work with us after evaluating other potential partners. This is part of our strategy to become a major participant in the European market through our investment in people, infrastructure and partners.”
