Crane takes a dip

A Rough Terrain slipped off a barge on Friday and into Lake Whatcom in Bellingham, Washington, no one was injured in the incident.

The crane, a 20 to 25 tonne Grove, is owned by West Coast Divers and Marine and was working on a job for the city of Bellingham when it apparently rolled off the barge. A brake failure is being investigated.

The crane did spill a quantity of oil into the harbour and damaged another boat.
