JLG go with Stirnimann for Switzerland

JLG has appointed Stirnimann AG, the Olten based crane and access company, as its sole distributor for aerial work platforms in Switzerland. Prior to this appointment Stirnimann represented the Grove Manlift range of aerial platforms, including the Toucan mast boom range.

Stirnimann has represented Grove mobile cranes for almost 40 years and is a long time representative for Potain tower cranes. The company began selling access equipment in 1979, when Grove took over the Selma Manlift business. The company also represent Teupen track mounted units and have sold Kreitzler scissor lifts in the past.

Stirnimann activities include tower crane rental, a platform rental fleet and both crane and access sales and service. The parts operation will continue to provide spare parts for the Grove Manlift products as well as taking on the responsibility for supplying parts for the current and future Swiss population of JLG.

Wayne Lawson (L) welcomes Alfred Wyss and Stirnimann AG to the JLG team


Alfred Wyss, Managing Director of Stirnimann said that” the Stirnimann team was delighted to be representing the market leading range of aerial lifts in Switzerland and to be associated with a leading company such as JLG. After the uncertainty hanging over the Manlift line for several years the strength of JLG in its main markets gives us confidence to invest and build up our access sales activity”

The previous distributor for JLG Sky Access AG who also trade under the Skyworker brand, has reached an agreement with JLG that will see them continue to operate JLG machines in their rental fleet. Skyworker operate a substantial rental fleet which includes mainly JLG and Denka products.
