More JLGs for Horizon

UK based rental company Horizon Platforms has ordered 90 new work platforms from JLG.

The latest order will take the fleet of the Yorkshire based access rental and training business up to around 500 units, with the bulk of the new machines going to its recently opened North West location in Warrington.

The order is made up of 19, 26 and 32ft ES electric slab scissor lifts and E300 and M450 articulated booms which will be equipped with JLG’s SkyGuard anti-entrapment system an option that the company says it will specify on all future JLG boom lift orders.

Horizon’s joint managing director Ben Hirst said: “This is the third order that we have placed with JLG in the last four years. Our decision was driven by a number of factors, not least the continued feedback from our customers who enjoy the benefits of their products. We have a number of clients who require platforms for reactive maintenance contracts, the reliability and additional battery life offered by the ES scissor range has helped us further support this customer type.”

“Horizon has been trading for over five years now and our aim at the outset was to offer our customers the complete powered access package, with a level of customer service that can only be reached by an independently run company. Our decision to only ever buy brand new machines and to employ staff with the same values has helped continue our expansion whilst continually improving our service levels.”
