A lucky escape

A truck mounted lift almost ended up in the river in the small town of Wildberg, in Germany’s Black Forest on Thursday.

The 3.5 tonne telescopic truck mount was in the process of being set up by contractors carrying out work on a façade, when it began to run away down the slope towards the River Nagold. Fortunately the outriggers had been lowered enough to catch up on the river bank and bring the lift to a halt.

Almost taking a dip

A crane was called in to help recover it and not only was no one physically hurt in the incident, but the damage to the lift was minimal.
