The crane went through a bridge guardrail and into the river

The operator, Brett Marr, managed to escape from the cab of the crane which is owned and operated by Lindores. He was then helped to the river’s edge by a passing motorist. What exactly caused the crane to veer off the road is uncertain at this stage.
A 350 tonne crane was called in to recover the stricken crane and a crew was called in to clean up an oil spill.
