TVH acquires IPS Australia

TVH Australasia agreed the purchase of Independent Parts and Service Australia, with the deal becoming effective immediately.

IPS Australia was established in May 2005 as a division of UK based IPS. See IPS opens in Australia and now claims to be Australia's leading independent provider of spare parts for aerial work platforms and Merlo telehandlers. The Australian business was then acquired by Rick Mustillo and Chris McCoy in 2012 in a Management Buy Out at the same time as IPS merged with APS in the UK to form IAPS.

In the past year or so Mustillo has been running a new sales and distribution business - Kookaburra Equipment Sales - which sells Manitou access products on a non-exclusive basis, along with other access related product lines.

IPS Australia operates from a base in Capalaba, Queensland, and has offices in Sydney and Brisbane. TVH Australasia is headquartered in Brisbane and has four other locations in Australia – Sydney, Perth, Adelaide and Melbourne.

This is not the first IPS business that TVH has acquired, last year it purchased the replacement parts operation of IPS France. See IAPS sells French parts business
