300 JCB telehandlers for Plant Hire UK

Haydock, UK, based rental company Plant Hire UK has placed an order for almost 400 machines with JCB worth £16.5 million. The bulk of the order is for 300 telehanders which will be delivered throughout this year.

The deal includes the four metre JCB 520-40 and machines right through to the 20 metre 540-200. Supplied through JCB dealer Gunn JCB, the telehandlers are powered by JCB’s Tier 4 Final/Stage IV Ecomax diesel engine which does not require a diesel particulate filter (DPF), Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) or Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) commonly known as AdBlue.

The new machines are also fitted with immobilisers and JCB LiveLink as standard. JCB says the fleet management tool can improve machine utilisation, cut running costs, increase productivity and manage servicing.

We aim to be the best in the industry too and that means having the best people, the best customer service and the best machines.”
