New IPAF technical and safety manager
The International Powered Access Federation (IPAF) has appointed Claude Dubé as UK technical and safety manager.
Reporting to Andrew Delahunt, director of technical and safety, Dubé will be based at IPAF’s headquarters in Crooklands, Cumbria, north western England. He joins IPAF from Haulotte, where he has been technical improvement manager for the past six years or so - first in the UK and then in France.
An agricultural engineer by education, Dubé began his career in his native Canada when he joined skid steer loader manufacturer Thomas Equipment in 1980 as senior design engineer, moving to Catalytic Enterprises as mechanical engineer the following year. In 1982 he became a regional engineer for the Manitoba Department of Agriculture, before returning to Thomas Equipment in 1989 as director of engineering. Two years later he was appointed director of research and development at telehandler and construction manufacturer Mustang – now part of Manitou.
In 1996 he left Mustang to join JLG as director of boom lift engineering in McConnellsburg. Three years later he was promoted to director of integrated product improvement, switching to director of European telehandler development in 2001. In 2003 he moved to German based Salta Engineering as managing director, leaving in 2013 to join Haulotte.
