Third AC 45 for Viktor Baumann

German crane rental and heavy haulage company Viktor Baumann has taken delivery of a 45 tonne Demag AC 45 City All Terrain crane.

The AC 45 features a 31.2 metre main boom and can telescope loads of up to 19.7 tonnes. A 7.1 to 13 metre offsettable extension takes the maximum on board tip height to over 45 metres. It is also equipped with Demag's IC-1 Plus system, which calculates the load chart based on the crane’s actual configuration. The crane will join two existing AC 45 for installation work and for industrial relocations.

Managing director Sabine Baumann-Duvenbeck said: “With a total length of just 8.69 metres and a height of just 3.16 metres, the AC 45 City is the most compact crane in its class and therefore ideally suited to working indoors. Especially in combination with the IC-1 Plus control system, which enables infinitely adjustable and asymmetrical outrigger setup, our view is that it is unrivalled in cramped construction site conditions. The crane will benefit not least from its short boom base section, allowing it to work in low buildings with steep boom positions and lift correspondingly high loads.”
