First E-3 Maeda in UK

UK rental company Cobra Lifting has purchased the first 2.82 tonne Maeda MC285CRM-E-3 spider crane in the UK.

The crane features a five section 8.6 metre boom which offers a maximum tip height of 9.7 metres. It also has an overall stowed width of 750mm, is under 1.5 metres high, has an overall length of 2.8 metres, and weighs just under 2,000kg. The winch has a high rope storage capacity, allowing the crane to lower loads on a single line to 100 metres below ground level. It is powered by a Yanmar diesel, with the option to add a quickly removable self contained AC electric power pack, for working indoors or in areas where noise or emissions are restricted.

Other features include slew limit setting, seven inch full colour display, HBC radio remote controls, and multi position outriggers that are monitored automatically by the load moment limiter which also includes. It will join an MC305 crane in the company’s fleet, based in Brentwood, Essex.
