New CEO for Riwal

Dutch international access and telehandler rental group Riwal has promoted Pedro Torres to chief executive. The appointment follows the departure of chief executive Norty Turner in October.

Torres joined Riwal in 2012 as director of its northern region, covering the Netherlands, UK, Germany, Poland, Demark, Sweden and Norway. He had previously been head of the aerial lift division of Spanish crane and access rental company Hune, having joined the business when it merged with Nacanco - where Torres had been a senior manager and shareholder – and Umesa. He and was promoted to joint chief operating officer in 2015, working alongside Søren Rosenkrands. See Riwal restructures
