First 120RT for Qatar

Al Maysan Heavy Equipment - a subsidiary of Doha-based heavy equipment supplier and Link-Belt distributor, Jaidah Group - has taken delivery of the first 110 tonne Link-Belt 120RT Rough Terrain crane to arrive in Qatar.

Launched at bauma last year (see:New Link-Belt RT), the 120RT features a six section 50 metre boom, topped by a 10.7 to 17.7 metre bi-fold swingaway. Two additional 4.9 metre lattice inserts can also be installed to take the maximum tip height to 79.8 metres. Shortly after delivery the crane featured at a product launch event to introduce it to potential customers.

Craig Swartz, general manager of sister company Jaidah Leasing, said: “After detailed study of the market requirements, we realised that there was a void to be filled in the high capacity Rough Terrain crane market, with few options available to contracting companies in Qatar. We are helping fill that void with the Link-Belt 120RT .”
