New president for Manitou

Manitou has appointed Elisabeth Ausimour to the new role of president of its material handling and access division, with the business representing around 70 percent of group sales and is largely made up of telehandlers, aerial work platforms and Rough Terrain forklifts.

She has also been appointed to the group’s executive committee. The material handling division had revenues last year of almost €1.5 billion, almost 70 percent of group revenues.

For the past three years or so she has been vice president of ERP and head of a process redesign project. She took responsibility for the material handling division at the end of last year, but the appointment has only just been announced and confirmed.

Elisabeth Ausimour


Ausimour joined Manitou in 2005 from the shipbuilder Chantiers de l'Atlantique – now STX Europe – where she began her career as a buyer in 2000. Here first job with Manitou was head buyer of hydraulics, taking over the responsibility for quality control in 2009. In 2011, she was appointed as vice president of the company’s aerial lift plant in Candé, near company headquarter in Ancenis. In 2016 she moved to her role as vice president ERP.
