Red diesel ban postponed

The UK Chancellor is currently revealing the details of the UK budget, during which the question of abolishing the use of tax reduced red diesel was an issue, with many crane and aerial lift rental companies fearing that it would be abolished immediately.

It now seems that any change will be delayed a year to allow time for companies to adapt. It will also be subject to consultation over the summer, in order to hear representations from industry groups and associations - see: CPA to appeal against plans to abolish red diesel
