Sennebogen for Aarsleff

Danish civil engineering and construction company Per Aarsleff has taken delivery of a 16 tonne Sennebogen 613M mobile crane from distributor UN Mobilkraner.

Replacing a 19 year old Sennebogen 613M, the new two axle 613M has a three section 18.8 metre boom plus a five metre swingaway extension which can be offset by up to 45 degrees. The crane also has a respectable pick & carry load chart and features 1.75 metres of cab elevatiion. On arrival the crane was put straight to work on the Frihavn project at the port of Copenhagen, where it is being used to move scaffolding, iron and road blocking materials.

Aarsleff crane operator Peter Thygesen, said: “For this type of project the 613M is perfect. With a weight of approximately 18 tonnes, rubber wheels and an easy rigging process, it is very easy to move the crane around the site. It only takes two minutes to make boom and outriggers ready. This project requires a lot of work along the quay side, so we do not have a lot of working space. It is an advantage that the crane can work within the radius of the outriggers. The crane also has a small turning radius, which enables manoeuvring in a safe manner without risks of bumping into anything in the surrounding area.”
