Electric van mount for Maltech

Austrian rental company Maltech has taken delivery of fully electric 10.1 metre Klubb K20 van mounted platform for its location in Vienna.

Mounted on a cutaway Nissan e-NV200 chassis, the K20 provides an outreach of five metres and 120kg platform capacity. The vehicle has an overall weight of just over two tonnes and has an overall width of 1.73 metres and a length of 5.1 metres.

Fitted with two separate batteries to power the van and the boom, the unit will be used for to carry out a wide variety of applications in parks, gardens and cemeteries, as well as pedestrian zones.

Maltech depot manager, Norbert Geier, said: “Regardless of whether you are driving from tree to tree or from lantern to lantern, our new van mount can be used in many ways. It can also work next to groups of people without making any noise or odour.”

Established in 1975, Maltech operates from six locations in Austria, three in Hungary and one in Slovakia. The company runs a fleet of more than 2,000 boom lifts, scissor lifts, trailer lifts, truck mounted platforms, telehandlers and forklifts.
