Three new booms from LGMG

Chinese manufacturer LGMG has launched a number of new boom lifts at bauma China this week.

The new 62ft AR19J articulated boom features a classic lift mechanism for this size of machine, with short dual sigma type risers, a two section over centre mounted telescopic boom and 1.5 metre articulating jib providing a working height of 20.8 metres with an outreach of 12.1 metres.

The unit has an overall width of 2.49 metres and is 9.2 metres long. Four wheel drive, front oscillating axle, a “low emission quiet diesel” and intelligent on board diagnostics are all standard. Total weight is just over 10,500kg. If the specifications sound familiar, that is because they are almost identical to the popular Genie Z-62/40.

In the following video Mason Guo of LGMG provides a guided tour of the new machine.

The company also launched two new telescopics - the 72ft T22J and 92ft T28J - which offer a 450kg maximum and 300kg unrestricted platform capacity. Both use a rising boom pivot point, three section boom and articulating jibs. Four wheel drive, front oscillating axle, Cobo intelligent controls and a low emission diesel are all standard as is 360 degree slew. Total weights are 12,300kg and 18,700kg respectively.

The company is also working on lithium-ion battery packs for its full range of slab electric scissor lifts, although details are scant, and the claimed performance did not sound overly interesting at this point unless the cost is negligible. This is probably still a work in progress.
