New CTE spider lift

CTE has unveiled its all new 16 metre Traccess 160 spider lift, the first in a new range of CTE spider lifts.

The 160 features a dual sigma type riser, topped by a two section telescopic boom and articulated jib, all of which provides a working height of 15.8 metres, with up to 7.9 metres of outreach at an up & over height of 6.3 metres with the maximum 250kg unrestricted platform capacity. The jib articulates just over 90 degrees from the tucked in stowed position to inline horizontal.

The new CTE Traccess 160


The 160 has an overall retracted width of 780mm with an overall length of 4.59 metres, which can be reduced by easily removed basket to 3.87 metres. Overall weight is 2,200kg. It can be driven with the jib raised to the horizontal which can be helpful for loading and unloading or when driving onto a slopes.

Up & over height is 6.3 metres with an outreach of up to 7.9 metres


The new machine is said to offer features and specifications normally associated with larger models, including the all new remote controller with full display readout. It also features a new CAN-bus electrical system from the company’s truck mounted range, and includes its S3 Evo system with full diagnostics, fully adjustable controls and automatic outrigger set up. On this machine there is a single outrigger position, at just under three metres wide by 3.3 metres long it is relatively compact, levelling up is automatic on side slopes of up to 11.3 degrees.

The new remote controller with display screen


Power choices include full electric, Honda petrol or Lombardini diesel, while all options include the standard 230 volt mains power source for when using indoors. Other features include automatic return to centre or ‘home’ functions, while a 230kg winch options convert the lift to a light duty crane.
