Hiab Germany adds location

Hiab Germany has added a new location to its service network in Ossendorf, Cologne, with the acquisition of its sales and service partner FNS Fahrzeugbau und Nutzfahrzeugservice Köln.

Hiab has taken over all business activities of FNS and employed its 20 technicians, installers and bodybuilders. It has also appointed Bernard Beigel as area sales manager for the region.

Based in Hamburg, Hiab Germany now has five of its own locations plus a 50 strong outlet dealer network boosted by the acquisition of Italian loader crane manufacturer Effer in 2018 – see: Hiab rationalises German network.

Hiab Germany managing director Ron de Vries, said: “We have been stepping up our strategy to move closer to the market and our end customers since 2018, in order to meet their requirements. In addition to opening our own sales and service locations in Augsburg, Hamburg, Karlsruhe, Munich and now Cologne, we have also intensified our cooperation with our partners in recent months. In this way, we can jointly offer our customers tailor made solutions.”
