First Böcker for Marsden

UK rental company Marsden Crane Hire has taken delivery of its first Böcker aluminium truck crane with a four tonne AK 37/4000.

The AK 37/4000 features a 23.3 metre main boom and a 11 metre offsetable jib. It can handle its maximum capacity at radius of five metres, take one tonne to 14 metres or 250kg at 28 metres - or 30 metres with an additional extension. Features include radio remote controls and fully automatic variable outrigger set up and levelling. It was also supplied with a PK 250-D work platform which provides a working height of 30.5 metres with a 250kg platform capacity. It is mounted on a compact two axle 8.8 tonne MAN chassis, which provides the crane with better capacities and a smaller footprint than the standard 7.5 tonne truck.

Marsden’s first Böcker crane

Managing director Lee Marsden said: "We are extremely pleased to receive our first Bocker truck crane into our hire fleet and hope it will prove to be a great addition. The crane travels with ease and allows us to travel further for certain types of work."

Family owned Marsden Crane Services is based in Wigan, between Liverpool and Manchester in north west England, and was established in 2015 by brothers Brendan, Dale and Lee Marsden. It runs a fleet that runs from a 3.9 tonne mini crawler crane to 60 tonne three axle All Terrains.
