More electric Aichis for Doornbos

Dutch telehandler and aerial lift rental company Doornbos has taken delivery of another four 46ft battery electric Aichi SP14DJE telescopic boom lifts.

The company originally took delivery if the first five units last November (see: first Aichi all electric tele booms) with this latest delivery taking that number to 10 units.

The new machine is essentially a battery electric version of the standard diesel powered SP14DJ which was launched in April. It shares all of the fabrications and most components with the diesel model and offers a similar performance in terms of speeds and rough terrain capability. The engine is swapped out for a large electric motor fuelled by with two sealed lithium-ion battery packs.
