Tahitian dealer for Haulotte

Haulotte has appointed Sopadep as its aerial lift and telehandler distributor for Tahiti, the largest island in French Polynesia.

Based in Papeete, with industrial division workshops and warehouses in the suburb of Tipaerui, Sopadep sells and supports a wide range of vehicles and equipment which includes cars, trucks and buses alongside its industrial division which represents Hyster and Hyundai forklift trucks, Dieci telehandlers, Bobcat equipment and Hyundai excavators. The company has ordered a number of Haulotte machines for stock.

Sopadep’s 5,000 square metre workshops and warehouse in Tipaerui


Sales manager Maxime Fernandes, said: "Sopadep and Haulotte have decided to join their strengths in a partnership for sales and service. Sopadep is a strong and knowledgeable company with a well developed network across French Polynesia. This appointment aims at fulfilling the need for access equipment and increasing Haulotte market share in the region. Customers will benefit from the full line of Haulotte products with high-quality local customer service support.”

The company was established in 1927 as René Solari et Fils to import and sell a range of products. In 1984 the Sopadep name was coined when the company took on the Peugeot distribution. In 1997 it took on the Hertz rental franchise and more recently added a BMW, Mini and Chevrolet to its range.
