Hiab stays with Thor

Hiab has renewed its distribution agreement with Thor Middle East after it was acquired by Al Shirawi group.

The company is responsible for the sales, parts and service support for a range of products, including Hiab loader cranes, Multilift hook loaders, Zepro tail lifts, Jonsered recycling and Loglift forestry cranes, throughout the UAE, Bahrain, Kuwat, Oman, Qatar and Saudi Arabia. Thor also distributes Movex and Socage truck mounted platforms along with a number of cleaning and waste management equipment brands.

Hiab regional business manager Henrik Wittgren said: “During recent years our products have become more sophisticated with advanced digital solutions and services. The area is slowly changing from basic, non CE marked, product needs to more advanced solutions, including our digital offering. It is important for Hiab to have a strong local partner in the Middle East that can closely support our end customers. For this reason we are very happy to continue to work with Thor Middle East and look forward to developing a strong partnership with the Al Shirawi group.”
