New Demag and Tadano for Hack

German crane rental and heavy haulage company Hack Schwerlastservice has taken delivery of a 45 tonne Demag AC 45 City and a 220 tonne Tadano ATF 220-5.1 All Terrain crane.

The AC 45 City has a 31.2 metre main boom plus a 7.1 to 13 metre offsettable extension to offer a maximum tip height of 45 metres. The crane’s IC-1 Plus control and Flex Base systems automatically monitor the position of each outrigger to calculate a specific load chart for the actual configuraiton.

Owner Udo Hack, said: “Demag City cranes are 100 percent reliable and are simply unbeatable when it comes to indoor jobs and machine relocation projects. More and more of our customers were asking explicitly for a Demag City crane for their projects, since they’re seeing how easily and quickly jobs can be done with it at the work site.”

The five axle ATF 220 has a 68 metre seven section main boom plus a 10.9 metre swingaway with up to four 6.1 metres inserts offering a maximum tip height of 108 metres.

Hack added: “The fact that we can now order cranes from both brands from a single source and a single contact is really a great advantage as far as we’re concerned. The merger between Tadano and Demag makes things easier for us.”

Based in Neuwied, between Cologne and Frankfurt, Hack runs a large fleet of city, truck and All Terrain cranes, topped by a 450 tonne Grove GMK 7450, from 12 locations. It also has a transport, haulage and recovery division, and a fleet of aerial work platforms.
