United’s chief executive Matthew Flannery said: “Today, we welcomed over 300 new members to Team United with our acquisition of Franklin Equipment. This transaction expands our presence in key markets for our general rentals business, with an experienced team that shares our pride in delivering superior customer service.”

Gary Gabriel grew up in the rental business with his father establishing Sam’s Equipment Rental in 1952. The company expanded to five locations in Ohio before selling to NationsRent in 1997.
