Crosby acquires BlokCam

US based hook and lifting gear manufacturer Crosby group has acquired UK crane camera and alert systems company BlokCorp as part of its new technology solutions division.

Established in 2015 by Peter Hird and Ben Windass, BlokCorp produces a number of wireless camera and alert systems that can be installed on the boom or hook block of mobile, crawler and tower cranes. Branded as Crosby BlokCam, the company will now make up part of Crosby's new technology solutions division along with recently acquired Straightpoint and Verton.

Crosby group chief executive Robert Desel, said: “We are very excited to expand our technology offering with BlokCorp, a pioneer in delivering solutions for safer lifting operations. BlokCorp, will bring tremendous value to our customers and channel partners and serve as a strong foundation to our new technology solutions division.”

The addition of BlokCorp is the group’s fifth acquisition since 2019 which includes Verton, Fuebo, Gunnebo and Straightpoint.
