New CEO for Doosan Infracore Europe

Doosan has appointed Chris ‘Kwanhee’ Jeong as chief executive of Doosan Infracore Europe, currently a sister company of Bobcat.

He takes over from Charlie Park, who has returned to work for Doosan, South Korea after four years in the role. Jeong joined Doosan in Korea in July 2006 as a senior corporate strategy manager and has been head of sales/marketing and demand planning for emerging markets since 2018.

He began his career in 1999 as a sales representative for Johnson & Johnson’s medical device & diagnostics division in Korea, with responsibility for for Asia, Oceania, Middle East, Africa, CIS/Russia, Latin America, Brazil and India. He joined Doosan Korea in 2006 and in 2008 transferred to Doosan Europe in Belgium as senior strategy manager for Europe, Africa and the Mid-East. Over the next four and half years he held several excavator product and strategic sales roles with the European business, before transferring back to Korea as head of sales for the Middle East and Africa. In 2015 he became director of key accounts, taking over as head of sales for Asia, Oceania, Russia/CIS countries and India in 2016, moving into his most recent role in 2018.

Speaking of his return to Europe, Jeong said: “I am delighted to be taking on the amazing opportunity of serving as chief executive of Doosan Infracore Europe and to contribute to the great performance the company has recently been showing, mainly thanks to the continuous support and dedication of the Doosan dealer network and the company’s highly dedicated and professional workforce in Europe. We have very competent partners and a great team here, which I am excited to build upon as we continue to develop and implement our plans. Such plans include upgrading the product range through the launch of Stage V machines, continuously enhancing channel competencies to deal with customers’ needs at the endpoint and executing on our strategies to retain sustainable financial stability both for our valuable partners and DIEU. I am confident our best years lie ahead of us and that together we will continue to power Doosan Infracore forward as a leading construction equipment manufacturer.”
