New name in low level access

Italian manufacturing company Gromet has launched two new low level aerial work platforms under the Axolift brand.

Gromet is a long established fabrication and metalworking business, based in Veneto, in north west Italy. It has produced fabrications and components for others for many years, but recently decided to set up its own design and assembly operation in a separate facility on the other side of town. The Gromet plant is equipped with the latest cutting, bending, and robot welding equipment, allowing it to produce a high percentage of the content for the new lifts in house – a distinct advantage in these times of supply issue challenges.

Axolift’s new Manulift 200

The first two products are the manually operated Manulift 200 and the battery powered lift push around Elift 350, which offer working heights of four and 4.95 metres respectively. As such they go almost head to head with the JLG-Power Towers' Pecolift and Ecolift 70 manual lifts along with the 830 push around model.

The Manulift 200 has a half metre working height advantage over the Pecolift but is 200mm short of the Ecolift 70. The maximum platform capacity is 110kg while the overall dimensions are similar to JLGs. The overall weight is 249kg, compared to the Pecolift’s 180kg and the Ecolift 70’s 305kg. The flywheel type lift and lower crank looks similar to the Pecolift's, but it uses a different, patented, mechanism which apparently does not employ any gas springs in the mast. The result is that it requires a few more turns of the crank to reach full height.

The Manulift 200 offers a four metre working height

The Elift offers a working height just shy of five metres with a platform capacity of 180kg and an overall weight of 355kg. As such it compares very favourably with the JLG 830, at least on paper.
