Tile and error

Spotted by a reader in the Franche-Comté region of France, a man working from the bucket of what looks to be a Merlo telehandler in order to remove tiles from a roof at a height of a round eight metres.

The man was apparently receiving roof tiles from some one on the roof and stacking them in the bucket before accompanying them to the ground. To make matters worse, the telehandler was parked on the narrow road with zero attempt to divert pedestrians or traffic, or even warn them of the danger.

One has to wonder who planned this work

No matter how you look at this one, it is incredibly dangerous for both the man in the bucket and those passing by. There are so many safer and easier methods to have done the work, such as using a hoist. Cordoning off the work area might also have helped.

Definitely one for our Death Wish series,

Have a safe weekend.
