HDW opens in Poland

Dutch aerial lift and telehandler distributor HDW will open a new subsidiary in Poland at the start of December.

HDW has been the Genie distributor for the Benelux region since 1995, adding the distribution rights for all of Eastern Europe in 2006. In 2012, it decided to outsource the Eastern Europe distribution to its sister company Statech in Czech Republic.

As the Polish powered access market has gathered pace, HDW has decided that it is time to establish a full legal entity in the country, with dedicated facilities, service engineers, as well as replacement parts and new machines inventories. The rest of the region will continue to be covered by Statech which has dedicated sales managers in the most countries.

HDW Polska will be based on a 2.5 acre site in Bronisze, on the west side of Warsaw, with 300 square metres of offices, a 750 square metre warehouse for new machines and parts, along with two acres/8,000 square metres of yard space.

Three Statech Poland employees - two service engineers and a salesman - will transfer to HDW Polska with Slawomir Raźniewski promoted to sales manager of the new venture. He has been with Statech since 2020, having previously worked with Gizo Rental. Genie’s service coordinator for Poland, Przemyslaw Cedrowski, will be employed as service manager. Further employees will be recruited in the new year.

Jacek Juszkiewicz of Statech Poland remains with the company and has recently been promoted to international sales manager – see: New sales manager for Statech.
