The full range of iQ cranes will feature the company’s new SPACEevo control system which combines with its CombiDrive 4 remote controller for the first time. The controller features three large colour screens, haptic/vibration functionality and increased battery life. It also allows for the operator to customise speed and crane reaction settings, while the new Confirm View ensures the DLC-S stabilisers can only be deployed if the operators in a safe position. The SPACEevo also connects with the company’s HiConnect telematics system, which uses data to provide real time information on utilisation, operation and machine condition.

Features include up & over heights of 25 metres, the ability to raise the jib 24 degrees above the horizontal and the company’s LSS-V (Load Stability System), VSL+ (Variable Stability Logic Plus) and SAF (Semi-Automatic Folding) systems.

Marcel Boxem, Hiab product director - heavy & super heavy loader cranes, said: “Our customers want big cranes that are suited for a great variety of tasks in a smaller crane package to increase flexibility, reduce operating costs and improve fuel efficiency. The HIAB iQ.1188 HiPro is the first in the iQ range that will set a new standard for precise manoeuvres and high speeds, and personalised settings to improve productivity. At the same time, the new features we are introducing are also making crane operation safer than ever for the operator and the surroundings.”
