New 120 tonner for ABA

UK-based ABA Crane Hire has just taken delivery of its first 120 tonne Liebherr LTM 1120-4.1.

The new four axle crane is Stage V emissions compliant and features a seven section 66 metre main boom and has been specified with a 10.8 to 19 metre bi-fold swingaway extension with up to 40 degrees of offsets and a seven metre insert which takes the maximum tip height to more than 94 metres and to a maximum radius of 64 metres. The crane comes with remote control as well as Liebherr’s VarioBase outrigger set-up system and VarioBallast adjustable counterweight.

ABA’s new LTM 1120-4.1

The LTM 1120 is the last machine in a five unit order placed last year which also included four 40 tonne Liebherr LTM 1040-2.1s. See: Five Liebherr’s for ABA

Managing director Adrian Baggott said: “We have been looking forward to the LTM 1120 since its release back in 2020. Its strong lifting capacities and its long boom made it the right decision for our business. It will complement our current fleet well sitting in between the 100 and 160 tonne cranes. With sites getting tighter and tighter, the VarioBallast will also come in very useful.”

Based in Wolverhampton, central England, ABA Crane Hire operates a fleet of All Terrain City type, truck and self-erecting mobile tower cranes with capacities up to 220 tonnes.
