Sunbelt acquires GTR

Sunbelt Rentals in the USA has acquired northern Pennsylvania-based George’s Tool Rental - GTR.

The deal was agreed, it seems, at the end of June, but only announced now. No financial details of the transaction have been released.

Established by the late Phil Leber in 1970, George’s serves the construction and homeowner markets in the greater Philadelphia region and western New Jersey, offering aerial lifts - mainly trailer mounted and scissor lifts, scaffold towers, ladders, tools and small earthmoving machines - from locations in Hatfield and Danboro, on the north side of Philadelphia Pennsylvania.

The Sunbelt announcement said: “We are happy to welcome GTR to the Sunbelt Rentals team. This exciting development increases our northern Pennsylvania footprint and provides GTR’s customers with access to a more diverse product and service offering backed by an expansive national network and a fleet in excess of $11 billion.”
