New access manager for CW

UK based rental company Charles Wilson Engineers has appointed Keith John as access & handling manager, based at its Birmingham depot.

He joins the company after five and half years with Genie as territory sales manager for UK South. He began his career with Oxford based rental company 2 Cousins, and worked with the company for almost 21 years, during which time he was appointed as managing director. He left for Genie at the end of 2016.
During his time with 2 Cousins, he also served for eight years as a director of the Access Link and was chairman from 2013 to 2016.

Charles Wilson Engineers was established in 1978 in the town of Harpenden, Hertfordshire, as the result of a partnership between Charles Gallagher and David Wilson. The company has expanded geographically to 31 locations from Newcastle in the north to Southampton in the south. It was an early entrant into the powered access market, and according to the last Cranes & Access 2021 Top 30 Rental company survey, runs the fifth largest telehandler fleet in the UK/Ireland, with 1,172 units and the 12th largest aerial lift fleet with 1,707 units.
