Hire Access Platforms is also taking two the new BoSS PA push around scissor lifts from APS, with a working height of 5.4 metres.

Managing director Stuart Willy said: "When we looked at LGMG, the quality of the platforms was very good indeed, their specification is excellent, and APS can guarantee fast delivery with a deal that made the best commercial sense. We are looking forward to introducing them to our customers. In fact, the first machines went directly to a customer on a highway project."

Dave Solomon of the Hire Access Platform operation added: "LGMG platforms offer an excellent package with strong options across its product range, and we're confident we'll get equally strong aftersales back up from APS. We see it as a very good one stop shop solution to build our platform fleet and continue to offer our customers the quality and service we've built our reputation on as a business."

FGS Plant was established in 2004 and runs a fleet that includes telehandlers, excavators, dumpers, rollers and aerial lifts across south east England. It has targeted powered access rental as a key growth area. Hire Access Platforms was set up in 2013 and is a member of the Access Link. Both companies are members of Heathcote Holdings, although they have separate shareholdings.
