The new 100 tonne four axle All Terrain crane features a 59.4 metre six section main boom, combines with a 19 metre bi-fold swingaway extension taking the on-board tip height to 81.7 metres all of which can be carried with 12 tonne axle weights.

The new Terex AC100/4L All Terrain will be at Bauma

An eight metre lattice insert section can be added between the main boom and boom extension taking it to 27 metres all of which can be offset from the main boom nose, while offering a maximum tip height of just under 90 metres. Alternatively the 19 metre extension can offset from the top of the eight metre insert either manually or hydraulically.

The four axle crane is extremely compact with an overall width of just 2.55 metres and a relatively short overall length.

As an indication to the new crane’s capability – capacities include:

-700kgs to the maximum radius of 54 metres on the main boom with full counterweight

-800kgs to a maximum radius of 38 metres on the main boom with counterweight included in 12 tonne axle loads.

-30.1 tonnes to a radius of 10 metres or six tonnes to 30 metres with full counterweight

- 17.8 tonnes to 10 metres or 2.5 tonnes to 30 metres with an onboard counterweight with 12 tonne axle loads.

The crane offers four standard outrigger widths in order to provide the maximum versatility for setting up in restricted spaces without sacrificing capacity. The new crane will be on display at Bauma.

Thomas Hartmann, sales director, Terex Cranes said: “Our customers wish for both compactness and long system lengths in a crane – with the AC 100/4L we have a crane available that is easy to operate and meets our customers’ demands.”
