Tower crane overturn
A self-erecting tower crane lost its balance yesterday in Ulm-Böfingen, Southern Germany and overturned, thankfully no one was injured.
Reports claim that the cause was due to a simple overload, with a concrete panel trolleyed out beyond the radius the crane could handle it. Fortunately the a building prevented a full overturn and greater damage and possibly injuries.

The scene after the overturn
Initial investigation feedback suggests that a man on site was asked to help out and use the crane to lift and place the panel, suggesting that he was not fully trained. However this has not been confirmed.
Three mobile cranes were called in to secure and dismantle the crane.
