Regional Access Sales Manager

Join JCB as a Regional Access Sales Manager and help build our exciting new venture.

Sure, JCB has been a market leader in tractor and digger manufacturing for as long as you can remember but we’ve only been able to build up such a legacy because we’re always renewing what we do with fresh innovations. Our new range of Aerial Work Platforms or ‘MEWPs’ are the latest example of that.

Access products will be a key product for growth within JCB, making this is an opportunity to get in at the start of a new venture and develop a top role for yourself as you drive this growth.

Overview of the role

You’ll maintain and drive sales for our existing customers across Europe. And, yes, that means plenty of travel on the European mainland to meet clients and build relationships (which means you can be based over there, if need be).

You’ll drive growth by securing business from Europe’s largest rental customers, bigger contracts and attracting new customers based on the long-reach strategic sales plan that you’ll develop. A highly visible player within a small team (at first), you’ll put your stamp on this new venture and use your influence to maintain its profile both internally and in the wider market.

Key responsibilities include:

Driving Sales through the existing dealer and direct sales network to Europe’s largest rental customers.
Appointing specialist Access dealers
Implementing regional targets, sales forecasting and reporting forward ordering.
Identifying market opportunities for key products and implement sales initiatives to deliver growth.
Developing key relationships with dealer principals and their sales teams, along with internal JCB personnel such as our existing Sales and Marketing team.
Working closely with the relevant territories/dealers to manage all opportunities and develop market intelligence.
Being a market expert on AWPs/MEWPs.
Solving problems that may affect future sales and implementing solutions.

About you

We’re looking for someone to lay the foundations of the Sales function within a new area of JCB. To do that, you’ll need the perfect blend of sales, account management, marketing, and specific knowledge of MEWPs and their various applications. You’ll also need to be confident, outgoing and proactive in your approach and be able to work without pre-existing processes and, in fact, define new ones.
