Crane memorial

Truck Crane Service/Phillippi Equipment of Eagan, Minnesota, USA paid tribute once again yesterday – September 11th - to all those who have lost their lives around the world fighting terrorism.

This year the company used three large lattice boomed cranes, an American 7530, an American 5299 and Sumitomo SC800, all of which were rigged with 130ft/39 metre booms. The flags are now six by nine metres and are visible from some distance.

Company owner Tony Phillippi is dedicated to this display which he has been organising every year since 2001 when terrorists struck the World Trade Centre towers in New York. Over the years the size of the flags and the photograph that are suspended from the booms have grown.

The company also reports that it is 16 months into a major safety initiative with zero injuries recorded since then.
